Executive Chairman of the Board
William J. Motto has more than 42 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics products industries, is the founder of Meridian, and was appointed Executive Chairman in 2008. He had been Chairman of the Board since 1977. Before forming Meridian, Mr. Motto served in various capacities for Wampole Laboratories, Inc., Marion Laboratories, Inc. and Analytab Products, Inc., a division of American Home Products Corp.

Chief Executive Officer
John A. Kraeutler has more than 37 years of experience in the biomedical industry and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Meridian Bioscience, Inc. in 2008. He had been the President and Chief Operating Officer since 1992. Before joining Meridian, Mr. Kraeutler served as Vice President, General Manager for a division of Carter-Wallace, Inc. Prior to that, he held key marketing and technical positions with Becton, Dickinson and Company and Organon, Inc. Mr. Kraeutler is currently Vice Chairman of BIO/START, a Cincinnati-based biomedical incubator, and he is an appointed member of the Ohio Third Frontier Commission. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America.

James M. Anderson
Retired President and Chief Executive Officer, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
James M. Anderson has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center since 1996. His appointment as President and CEO followed 20 years of service to the Cincinnati Children's Board of Trustees, including four years as chairman. Prior to joining the staff of Cincinnati Children's, Mr. Anderson was a partner in the general corporate department at Taft, Stettinius & Hollister and President of US Operations at Xomox Corporation. His extensive civic involvement includes service to the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Cincinnati Museum of Natural History, the United Way of Greater Cincinnati and the College of Mt. St. Joseph.

James A. Buzard, Ph.D. has been a director since 1990. Dr. Buzard was Executive Vice President of Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from March 1981 until December 1989. From December 1989 until his retirement in February 1990, he was Vice President of Marion Merrell Dow, Inc. He has been a business consultant since February 1990.

Gary P. Kreider, Esq. has been a director since 1991. Mr. Kreider serves as Chairman of the Compensation Committee. Mr. Kreider has been a Senior Partner of the Cincinnati law firm of Keating, Muething & Klekamp, P.L.L., counsel to Meridian since 1975. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law in securities at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and a director of LSI Industries Inc.

David C. Phillips
Co-founder of Cincinnati Works, Inc.
David C. Phillips has been a director since 2000. Mr. Phillips serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Phillips spent 32 years with Arthur Andersen L.L.P. His service with this firm included several managing partner leadership positions. After retiring from Arthur Andersen in 1994, Mr. Phillips became Chief Executive Officer of Downtown Cincinnati, Inc., which is responsible for economic revitalization of Downtown Cincinnati. Mr. Phillips retired from DCI in 1999 to devote full time to Cincinnati Works, Inc., an organization dedicated to reducing the number of people living below the poverty level by assisting them to strive towards self-sufficiency through work, and his financial consulting services. Mr. Phillips serves as a director of Cintas Corporation and Summit family of Mutual Funds.

Chairman of the Board and President, LSI Industries Inc.
Robert J. Ready has been a director since 1986. Mr. Ready serves as Chairman of the Nominating Committee. Mr. Ready founded LSI Industries Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio in 1976, which engineers, manufactures and markets commercial/industrial lighting and graphics products, and has served as its President and Chairman of its Board of Directors since that time.

Richard L. Eberly
Chief Commercial Officer
Richard L. Eberly has more than 25 years of experience in the industry and joined Meridian in March 1995 as Marketing Product Manager. Mr. Eberly previously held titles of Director of Sales and Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He was appointed Executive Vice President in May 2000 and President of Meridian Life Science in October 2005. He was appointed Chief Commercial Officer in February 2011. Before joining Meridian, Mr. Eberly held various positions in Sales and Marketing at Abbott Diagnostics, Division of Abbott Laboratories.

Melissa A. Lueke
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Melissa A. Lueke has more than 25 years of finance experience and joined Meridian in January 1999 as U.S. Area Controller. She was appointed Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary in January 2001. Before joining Meridian, Ms. Lueke was Senior Audit Manager at Arthur Andersen LLP.

Susan D. Rolih has more than 27 years of experience in the industry and was appointed Senior Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance in 2008. She had been Vice President Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance since 2001. Before joining Meridian, Ms. Rolih was Corporate Vice President—Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Immucor, Inc. where she previously held titles of Vice President—Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, and Vice President—Technical Services.

Lawrence J. Baldini has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and was appointed Executive Vice President of Operations and Information Systems in 2005. He had been the Vice President of Operations of Meridian Bioscience, Inc. since 2001. Before joining Meridian, Mr. Baldini was Director of Operations (Sensory Systems) at Instrumentation Laboratories, where he previously held the title of Operations Manager and Facilities Manager.

Todd W. Motto has more than 17 years experience in the industry and joined Meridian as a Marketing Product Manager in July 1993. Mr. Motto has also held positions in Field Sales, Business Development, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Meridian's European subsidiary, Meridian Bioscience Europe, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Meridian Bioscience, Inc. Mr. Motto was appointed Vice President of Business Development of Meridian Bioscience, Inc. in January of 2010.

Dr. Slava A. Elagin joined Meridian in 2009 and has more than 20 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, with expertise in molecular diagnostics, IVD, product development, product commercialization, and clinical laboratory management. Before joining Meridian, Dr. Elagin held executive positions with Third Wave Technologies and EraGen Biosciences.

Marviette Johnson
Vice President, Human Resources
Marviette Johnson has more than 14 years of experience in human resources. She joined Meridian as the Human Resources Manager in 2003 and was appointed Vice President of Human Resources in 2009. Before Joining Meridian, Ms. Johnson held leadership positions within the Hospitality industry, including Marriott International and Millennium Copthorne.
