We’re committed to providing the very best plans while also minimizing the impact of continued rising healthcare costs on our employees.
Our medical plans include three options: a preferred provider organization, a consumer directed health plan, and a health maintenance organization. We provide opportunities for healthcare coverage to all employees—and, historically, we have paid the majority of benefit premiums for an employee’s spouse and children.
Our dental plan offers an extensive provider network to meet employee individual needs. Coverage includes preventive and basic services in additional to major. As with medical insurance, Meridian offsets the impact in cost to employees by paying a large percentage of the premium.
We also offer an Employee Assistance Plan and a Flexible Spending Account.

At Meridian we care about your future. As such, we offer comprehensive Savings and Investment, Profit Sharing, Stock Options and Stock Purchase Plans. We realize the future is unknown, so we strive to increase employee financial security through these outstanding benefits.
Savings & Investment Plan 401(K)
Employees may contribute up to 100% of their earnings up to the IRS limit per calendar year. The first of the quarter following one year of service, Meridian Bioscience will start matching contributions to your account equal to 100% of the first 3% of compensation, which you contribute to the plan.
Meridian's Profit Sharing Plan was established to reward employees through a sharing in the profits of the Company and to provide additional retirement income.
Employee Stock Option
To share in the growth and success of the company, Meridian offers all employees stock options after the end of the quarter in which they were hired. Employees are 100% vested after four years.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan
Meridian offers a 5% discount for Meridian Bioscience, Inc. Common Stock to its employees. Employees purchase the stock through payroll deduction. Meridian’s shares are traded through NASDAQ’s National Market, symbol VIVO.
Education and Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance in the form of reimbursement is provided to employees who take courses to improve their skills and competencies for their present jobs. The reimbursement program covers the costs of tuition, registration fees, and textbooks on a sliding scale based upon grade attainment.
