| Results Interpretation |
Read each ring immediately following the rotation period for agglutination and record the results as follows: Negative = a homogenous suspension of particles with no visible clumping. One Plus = fine granulation against a homogenous milky background. Two Plus = small but definable clumps against a slightly cloudy background. Three Plus = large and small clumps against a clear background. Four Plus = large clumps against a clear background. Specimens reacting at the two plus or greater level should be reported as positive for coccidioidal antibody. Specimens reacting at a level less than two plus should be reported as negative. |
