Learn More About Meridian's Role in the aid in Diagnosis of Congenital Cytomegalovirus
At Meridian, we are always working to develop innovative products that can positively impact patient care. Our passion is to help providers make better diagnostic decisions with a focus on pediatric and neonatal conditions.
Congenital Cytomegalovirus (cCMV) is a virus that affects the majority of the population. Nearly 1 in 4 women are carriers of the most common virus passed from mother to baby during pregnancy. 1 out of 3 pregnant women who become infected with CMV during pregnancy will pass the virus to the unborn child, and every year 1 in 200 babies are born with cCMV yet, most pregnant women have never heard of it. Congenital CMV is the most common viral infection and the leading cause of non-genetic hearing loss in infants born in the United States, and early detection of cCMV is vital in guiding appropriate treatment for newborns.
Visit us at NEO Conference booth #103 to learn more about Meridian's role in the aid in diagnosis of Congenital Cytomegalovirus (cCMV).
