Meridian is the C. difficile testing expert. In fact, more than 3 million tests for C. difficile toxins A and B are performed annually with a Meridian diagnostic. The American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) recommends the Stool Antigen test for detection of H. pylori bacteria. Meridian’s stool antigen test, HpSA, is the only H. pylori test that is FDA cleared to aid in the initial diagnosis of infection, monitoring of patient response during and post-therapy, and to confirm eradiation. ImmunoCard Mycoplasma is the only rapid test that detects IgM antibody exclusively for the diagnosis of early/acute illness rather than convalescent disease. Scientists have recently identified more than 200 shiga toxin producing E. coli. The toxin from every one of those serotypes can cause HUS (Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome). Premier EHEC detects 100% of shiga toxin producing serotypes.
