Cancer Antigen 15-3 (CA15-3) is a tumor marker corresponding to an immunodominant epitope in the extracellular portion of the membrane-bound mucin MUC1. It is primarily used to monitor a patient's response to breast cancer treatment and detect disease recurrence. CA15-3 and the related CA27.29 are different epitopes on the same gene product.
