Ro52, also known as TRIM21, is a 52 kDa ribonucleoprotein implicated in various autoimmune diseases. Autoantibodies targeting Ro52 are frequently detected in conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Sjögren’s syndrome, systemic sclerosis, and autoimmune myositis. These autoantibodies are also associated with interstitial lung disease and certain autoimmune liver diseases. The presence of anti-Ro52 antibodies serves as a significant biomarker in diagnosing and monitoring these autoimmune conditions.
