Stromal cell-derived factor 1 alpha (SDF-1α), also known as CXCL12, is a chemokine involved in various physiological processes, including embryonic development, hematopoiesis, and cardiac ventricular septal formation. Elevated levels of SDF-1α have been observed in several cardiac diseases and it has been suggested as a prognostic marker in atrial fibrillation.
Recombinant Human Stromal Cell-Derived Factor 1 alpha (SDF-1a)
Recombinant Human SDF-1 is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 68 amino acids and having a molecular weight of 8,004 Da. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined to be Lys-Pro-Val-Ser-Leu.
