Diphtheria
Diphtheria is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Corynebacterium diphtheriae. It mainly affects the respiratory system, causing a thick coating to form in the back of the throat, which can make it difficult to breathe. The disease can also cause damage to other organs, such as the heart and nervous system. Diphtheria is spread through close contact with an infected person and can be prevented through vaccination
