Description
Meridian’s Liquid Stable Flex DNA qPCR Mix (MDX360)
is a high-performance, 5× liquid master mix that delivers consistent, reliable results without the need for cold storage. Designed for flexibility, it can be stored and transported at ambient temperature for up to 12 months, helping assay developers reduce cost, simplify logistics, and lower environmental impact.
Supplied without primers and probes, MDX360 gives end-users the freedom to add their own oligos at the point of use – ideal for customizable assays in both research and clinical diagnostics. Its liquid, ready-to-use format is fully compatible with manual pipetting and automated liquid handling, from small-scale benchtop systems to high-throughput platforms, ensuring performance and reproducibility across diverse workflows.
Key Product Benefits:
- Gives end-users flexibility – Allows end-users to choose or change primers and probes at the point of use.
- Simplifies inventory and logistics – One master mix can support multiple assays, reducing stock requirements.
- Reduces operational costs – Eliminates cold chain, frees freezer space, and lowers shipping expenses.
- Supports batching and efficiency – Bench-stable for 1 week after oligo addition, allowing master mixes to be set up ahead of time.
- Speeds time-to-results – Minimal preparation steps mean faster turnaround in both development and testing environments.
- Enables scale-up – Works reliably across manual setups and high-throughput automated workflows.
- Maintains assay integrity – Consistent performance from day one through the end of shelf life.

| Liquid Stable Flex DNA qPCR Mix (MDX360) was stored at –20°C (blue) or ambient temperature (22°C) (red) for 1 week with primers and probe and then tested in triplex assays using two template dilutions. The results demonstrate that Liquid Stable Flex DNA qPCR Mix can be stored at ambient temperature for up to a week with oligos without showing significant loss in performance, as measured by fluorescence intensity and Ct values, supporting the use of MDX360 in long, preassembled, high-throughput assays. | |||

FAQs: Liquid Stable Flex DNA qPCR Mix
Since the premixed assays can be stored at ambient temperature for at least one week, we recommend using sterile plasticware and reagents (i.e., tubes, oligonucleotides). If needed, we recommend rehydrating the required oligonucleotides in nuclease-free, sterile water.
The premixed assay tube should be sealed with an air-tight cap to prevent evaporation. We recommend storing them away from light to avoid bleaching the fluorophores that may be used.
As qPCR can amplify tiny amounts of DNA, preventing contamination is essential, as even small amounts of qPCR contamination can produce false positives. Cross-over qPCR contamination can include cross-contamination from other samples, contamination from elsewhere in the laboratory, and carryover qPCR contamination from amplification products and primers used in prior qPCR experiments. The latter causes most of the false positive results seen in qPCR. Preventing contamination can be difficult, and so laboratory procedures must be in place to ensure DNA from one assay is not re-amplified in a subsequent assay.
Shipping and temporary storage for up to 12 months at ambient temperatures (15−25°C) has no detrimental effects on the quality of Liquid Stable Flex DNA qPCR Mix. However, for long-term storage, we do recommend storing at -20°C. Repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
When stored and handled under the recommended conditions, full activity of the reagents is retained until the Expiry Date printed on the label.
