Thrombomodulin (TM), also known as CD141 or BDCA-3, is an integral membrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed on the surface of endothelial cells. It functions as a cofactor for thrombin, playing a critical role in the anticoagulant pathway by converting thrombin from a procoagulant to an anticoagulant enzyme.
THBD Protein, Rec. Human Thrombomodulin (THBD) Protein, Recombinant His-Tag at C-Terminus Molecular Weight: Predicted ~ 55 kDa, runs ~ 70-80 kDa on reduced SDS-PAGE due to post-translational modification when expressed and secreted from mammalian cells.
