Glycerol-Free DNA Helicase (HC) is a high-concentration, glycerol-free mix multi-domain DNA Helicase enzyme that uses ATP hydrolysis to unwind DNA duplexes with 3’ to 5’ polarity. It functions with the addition of the accessory protein, MutL, supplied with the kit. It is active on a wide range of DNA substrates and is compatible with lyophilization, making it ideal for use in point-of-care applications.

Description
Glycerol-Free DNA Helicase (HC) Kit (MDX241) is a multi-domain enzyme with both ATPase and helicase activities. It unwinds double-stranded DNA with 3’ to 5’ with respect to the bound strand and initiates unwinding most effectively when a single-stranded region is present. Helicase works in coordination with an accessory protein, methyl-directed mismatch repair (MutL) protein that stimulates the helicase activity.
Glycerol-Free DNA Helicase (HC) has been optimized to deliver excellent, stable performance without glycerol, allowing you to deliver reliable results with the added capability for lyophilization. This gives you the flexibility to confidently store mixtures at ambient temperature or produce diagnostic assays that rely on miniaturized reaction components, such as point-of-care assays.
