NGS Miniaturization

DNA sample preparation for next-generation sequencing (NGS) involves several steps. Firstly a DNA library is created that is suitable for the specific NGS platform to be used. This may have a target enrichment step prior to the addition of adaptors and amplification, with the quality of the library being depend on the nature of the DNA sample, input volume and level of difficulty (samples with high AC- or GC-rich regions). Each step having the potential to introduce errors or biases that could significantly impact library quality.
